Evangelion Action Figures
Evangelion, also known as Eva or Neon Genesis Evangelion (NGE) is a commercially successful and controversial Japanese anime, which was first aired in October 1995. Evangelion was so popular that it won several animation awards and the storyline focuses on the efforts of Nerv, a paramilitary organization to fight Angels, who unlike their name are monsters. Created by Gainax, it has been written and directed by Hideaki Anno. The story of Evangelion actually starts in the year 2000 just after a global cataclysm has destroyed half of the human population and led to the axial tilt of the Earth. One of the surprising elements of Evangelion is the fact that all the characters in Nerv who rescue the planet and its people from monsters are not perfect in any sense and can remotely be associated to being a super hero. They are more like our next door neighbors. Anno, the writer of Evangelion created each of the characters in such a way that they come across as different things to different people or viewers.
