Planet of the Apes Action Figures
Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner, this 1968 science fiction movie was influenced by the Novel “La plančte des singes” by Pierre Boulle. Planet of the apes has a stellar star cast including Charlton Heston, Kim Hunter, Roddy McDowall, and Maurice Evans. The Planet of the Apes film was followed by 4 sequels, animated series, a television show, comic books, and different action figures. Another film by the same name was released in 2001 and starred Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa among many others. The story is based in the year 2029 and where the crew of a US Space Station accidently crash into another world in the year 3002. This world is ruled by Humanoid apes who have humans as slaves and can speak human language as well. Of course, the film was not a huge commercial success but it was popular among youngsters and kids.
