Tortured Souls Action Figures
Tortured Souls is a series of 6 action figures. Because all the six monster figures have been created by horror writer Clive Barker, these action figures are also known also as Clive Barker’s Tortured Souls. The first set of Tortured Souls toys was available in US by mid-2001. Distributed by toymakers McFarlane, each of the six figures came with a 32-page mini-novel written by Clive Barker.
Visceral in appearance, these action figures became quite popular, prompting the toymakers to release a 2nd series called Tortured Souls 2: The Fallen in 2002. More graphic and visceral, these figures were mutated or surgically altered. The Tortured Souls (original) include characters like: Agonist; Lucidique; Mongroid; The Scythe-Meister; Talisac; and Venal Anatomica.
