Green Lantern
There are many of you who haven’t heard of Green Lantern and there are many who have been mesmerized by Green Lantern and their ability to fight crime anywhere-anytime. Now Green Lantern is unlike any other super-hero. This is because of the fact that Green Lantern stands for a group of super-heroes who wield a powerful ring that helps them to control the physical world. But here is the clinch – Green Lanterns can control the physical world only if they have sufficient strength of mind and body to wield this power. It all started with Alan Scott, who got the first ring, which was magically powered and he was known as the Golden Age Green Lantern. All subsequent Green Lanterns became a part of a legion called the Green Lantern Corps and their power ring were created using technology by the Guardians of the Universe.
Green Lantern first appeared in All American Comics in July 1940 and has gone through several revivals as well. The Golden age Green Lantern was Alan Scott while the silver age Green Lantern was Hal Jordan. The Bronze Age Green Lantern includes Guy Gardner and John Stewart while the modern day Green Lantern is Kyle Rayner. The only female Green Lantern is Jade, the daughter of Golden age Green Lantern Alan Scott. Over the years, Green Lanterns have held boys and girls spellbound with their bravery and display of conscience. There are many who even swear by the Green Lantern Corps.
