Halo
Halo is a top-of-the-line science fiction video game that was published by Microsoft Game Studios and created by Bungie. The storyline of Halo is set in the far future, almost a few centuries ahead in a time when planetary colonization was rampant. Halo consists of 800 colonized planets that are known as inner and outer colonies. The Halo series has a trilogy with the first game being Halo: Combat Evolved and it is set in the year 2552. Halo: Combat Evolved, the first in the trilogy was released on November 15, 2001 for Xbox. The Halo trilogy met with immense success and this led to creation of several spin-offs as well as sequels. But till date, the best Halo game remains to be Halo: Combat Evolved, which falls in the first person shooter genre. The primary enemy in the game is the Covenant, which consists of alien species and their forces include the Elites, Grunts, Jackals, and hunters. The second enemy is a parasitic alien life called The Flood. The main player character in Halo is Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 who has several sidekicks including AI Cortana, and Jacob Keyes.
