Max Steel
Max Steel action figures have been released bi-yearly since 1999. These sci-fi toy figures are similar to the 12” GI Joe toys that had a very different version of Max Steel (main character). While there was spinoff animated TV series Max Steel aired from Feb 2000 to June 2003, the Max Steel action figures are pretty different from the TV ones. Most of the early Max Steel toy releases were toys dressed in military, adventure, or sport attire and dissimilar to the TV series. However, they were quite close to Big Jim, available here. In fact, many of Max Steel figs wear the exact same clothes and accessories worn by Big Jim. Max Steel line also released vehicles in blue color with yellow highlights just like Big Jim’s spy and sport series. The Urban Siege line was introduced towards the end of 2000. In the new line, the action figures were packed in boxes with black and red colors. It also introduced a new villain, Vitriol who was similar to Psycho and looked the same at the first instance. Vitriol is the only Max Steel action figure that was never reissued. He was released only from Apr-Sept. 2001. The next series was the Endangered Species, released in 2004; the toys in this line were based on the movie. Other Max Steel action figure lines include World of Elements with the Elementor, Max Gear, Adrenalink, Extroyed, among others. Remember, Max Steel action figures aren’t easy to find in North America. So, guys keep your eyes and ears open and grab the ones that you can. These are collectible items, not to be missed!
