Thundercats
ThunderCats, another Japanese-American animated TV series that debuted in 1985. It was based on Tobin ‘Ted’ Wolf’s characters. The first season of the series was broadcast in 1985 (65 episodes), after which came the Tele-movie ThunderCats - HO! in 1986. Seasons 2, 3, & 4 experimented with a new format of broadcast that consisted of twenty episodes per season and had a five-part story. These episodes where broadcasted from 1987 - 1988, 1988 - 1989, and 1989 - 1990, respectively.
After the TV series, Marvel Comics created a comic-book series called ThunderCats from 1985 – 1988. Two series were also created by Wildstorm at the start of 2003. Through the years ThunderCats franchise has grown with items that include clothing, DVD box sets of the Japanese original series, and action figures. As of mid-June 2007, Warner Brothers had decided to make a movie based on CGI-animation on ThunderCats on a script developed by Paul Sopocy. The movie is set for a 2010 summer release. The ThunderCats action figures collection is well worth every penny you spend on it and is a real treat for all ThunderCats fans!
